6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On Tues., Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. we will offer another in a series of power point presentations on Valley history by Pat Sweeney.  The topic is “Strike:  A History or Radical Labor Unrest, 1900-1920 in Ansonia, Derby, and Shelton.”  These two decades were filled with fury and violence, including here in the Valley.  Come learn about the major strikes at Farrel Foundry, Blumenthal Mills, American Brass, and Union Fabric.  The latter company was headed by Frances Osborne Kellogg, and the talk will include details of her business career.  This is a free program.
