Stop in our Children’s Room after April 24th to check on our incubating chicken eggs! We’ll also have books and all sorts of information about chickens and how to raise them. The eggs should hatch around May 15th, so make sure you stop in to meet our new friends before they return to the farm on May 30th!
Between May 11th and 16th, stop in and take advantage of our first ever Bag of Books sale! All you have to do is visit on one of those days and donate $15 to the library. A staff member or Friend will then give you a bag to fill with as many Browse & Buy books as you can. Our Derby Neck Library branded bags can be reused for groceries, travel, and more.

Come get your groove on with Miss Krissy and Miss Sarah every other Monday during a music and movement program! There will be singing, dancing, stories, and a whole lot of shaky things! This program is targeted to ages Birth – 5, but everyone is welcome! No registration required, but sign up for our Youth Services mailing list to stay in the loop on cancellations by clicking here.
On the second Monday of every month, parents with little ones are invited to join us after our morning program for snacktime in our Children’s Room! We’ll have an activity and guest speaker on a variety of topics, followed by a period of free play and socialization. Light refreshments will be served. Come learn alongside other parents and give your child (and yourself) a chance to socialize with others!
