Summer Reading 2024 Kickoff Party!

Join us in our garden for some fun outdoor challenges to kick off the start of Summer Reading! For the littles and their siblings, we’ll have a music and movement dance party at 3pm, while older kids can try some basic outdoor activities like Hide-and-Seek, Red Light Green Light, freeze tag, and SPUD. All attendees will get a jumpstart on Summer Reading points and go home with treats and swag!
The Slime Of Your Life

Gee’s Bend Quilt Author Visit!

Join us for a special storytime featuring local author Tangular Irby! Tangular will read her book, “Pearl and her Gee’s Bend Quilt”, tell us about Gee’s Bend and her own history, and answer all your questions. One lucky attendee will get to go home with a FREE signed copy of Tangular’s book. Come try all the library’s resources alongside Early Interventionists who will work with you and your child to build confidence and competence and enhance child learning and development, all within the typical activities of the family.
No registration is required for this free program, just drop in!
ALSO: We collect diapers! Any size diapers that your child has outgrown can be donated to families in need. Just bring them to the program and we’ll distribute to local food banks!

Get your jammies on, bring your favorite stuffie, and join Miss Sarah & Miss Krissy for a short and sweet bedtime story! This program is intended for ages Birth-5 and will feature music and stories with mild stretching and breathing exercises.
