Sunday Crafternoons: Stamp Making

Join our biweekly Sunday Crafternoon for a lesson in custom stamp making! Participants will have a change to design and carve their own unique rubber stamp for scrapbooking, print-making, and greeting card decoration. Registration required. Participation is limited to 12–register below!
The DIY Zone is for patrons 14 years and older. A policy and liability waiver must be completed by anyone wishing to use the DIY Zone independently.
Cake for Mrs. Kellogg

A Tribute to Kate Hepburn

Join us on Wednesday, May 8th from 1-5:30 p.m. to enjoy a double feature movie presentation of two of Hepburn’s greatest films. “The Philadelphia Story” is a classic romantic comedy co-starring Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant. “Desk Set” co-stars Spencer Tracy and pits the skills of some brainy women against a very early model office computer. A formal introduction to Hepburn’s career and these two movies begins the event.

On June 28, 1969, a violent police raid on a mob-owned gay bar called the Stonewall Inn sparked a riot… and a revolution. Join Kate for this presentation on the history of the Stonewall Riots, gay pride, and the LGBTQ+ people whose rage transformed the movement for queer rights in America.
Sunday Crafternoon: Visible Mending

Has your favorite sweater or pair of jeans seen better days? Join us for a workshop in visible mending, a clothing repair technique that celebrates the life of a garment by embroidering, patching, or mending it in an ornamental way. Patrons are encouraged to bring a garment with a small hole or stain they would like to mend, as well as whatever scrap fabric, embroidery thread, or other supplies they would like to use to make their repairs. Look around your home for books and movies you’re ready to trade in at our Book and Movie Swap! Every item you bring will be exchanged for a ticket you can then trade for a new-to-you item.

Afternoon Tea V

As in our pre-Covid days, attendees will be meeting on each Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. to enjoy a showing on our large-screen TV. Following the show, we will stay on for a discussion. Light, individually wrapped snacks and flavored teas are served at each meeting. Join us in the Community Room!
