New SAT Seminar with Ellis Ratner

Thursday, July 14
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us on July 14 at 6:00pm as Ellis Ratner provides a FREE seminar on the new changes to the SAT format that were just implemented. Mr. Ratner’s presentation will focus on sections such as the Evidence-Based Reading and Essay Section, and how they differ from their predecessors. He will also highlight the sections that have been eliminated entirely from the test, such as Sentence Completion. In the end, guests will learn how the test has evolved from a test about general capabilities to a predictor of success at the college level.

Ellis Ratner tutors SAT Preparation specializing in Reading and Writing Sections as well as language arts. He is a cum laude graduate of Trinity College with a B.A. in language arts and a juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. After graduating from law school, he became an associate at the Wall Street law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and thereafter, Program Director, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission where he managed attorneys and paraprofessionals. Mr. Ratner regards his current tutoring practice as the most satisfying job he has ever had.
