Been There Done That Movin’ On is open to any age children, but also meets the needs of children who have been coming for a while and are ready to begin following directions to the music. Grownups with babies are welcome, as they will be able to hold them and dance along with the other children. Children will have the opportunity to use scarves, bells, eggs, and shakers, as well as be introduced to drums, sticks and the guitar.

If you know little to nothing about computers, are afraid or confused about them, or interested but don’t know where to start, this is the place for you.  We cover the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and how to search the Internet for whatever interests you. There is no fee, you can start any day, but you can only attend once a week. Classes last an hour and are held on Mondays at 6pm and Tuesdays/Wednesdays at 10:30am.

Starting on Tuesday, February 27 and then on every Tuesday thereafter from 1:00–3:00pm, the Derby Neck Library will begin the next installment in our adult program series Afternoon Tea V with Hulu exclusive: The Handmaid’s Tale! This program series features an hour’s worth of episodes of a streaming-only show on services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video followed by an hour of discussion. Throughout, there will be tea, coffee, and biscuits for refreshments. There is no fee for this program and no registration is required. Join us!

Using the library’s Nintendo Wii U, PS4, and Dreamcast, teens will play various games on the systems. Derby Neck Video Game Club (VGC for short) is all about fun, so come join us. No registration is required and we play throughout the school year on Tuesdays after school when the director is in the building. This club was formerly called Smash! Club.
