If you know little to nothing about computers, are afraid or confused about them, or interested but don’t know where to start, this is the place for you.  We cover the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and how to search the Internet for whatever interests you. There is no fee, you can start any day, but you can only attend once a week. Classes last an hour and are held on Mondays at 6pm and Tuesdays/Wednesdays at 10:30am.

Toddler Science is for children ages 3 and up. Experiments, books, music and crafts encourage you and your child to explore the world around you. Relearn things you forgot as you work with your toddler to learn about such subjects as space, magnetism, chemistry and physics. Classes regularly occur on Tuesday at 11am.

Civil War Career of Major Osborne, Derby Neck Founder

6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On Tues., Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m., Pat will narrate “The Civil War Career of Major Wilbur F. Osborne,” founder of Derby Neck Library. This evening will include original pictures of the First Connecticut Heavy Artillery, Osborne’s unit, as well as readings from his remembrances of the war years; it helps commemorate his January birthday.
